Prism X

A prism, flat and transparent, is universally known for its ability to refract a spectrum of light. Prism X, UIC’s art and technology club, does just that. Prism X members come from a wealth of backgrounds, acting as mentors and students in fields such as video production, graphic design, computer programming, 3D animation, and UX design, etc. Members can choose to participate in group studies, competitions, and yearly exhibitions to transform ideas into tangible projects; this is our spectrum. Examples of these projects include a voice-activated mood visualizer, a choose-your-own-adventure mock app, and an original poem translated into code. Members have also won the first place in number of prestigious awards such as Yonsei Integrated Idea Contest and Underwood International College Community Consulting Competition.

Outside of meetings, Prism X also hosts multiple MTs and group dinners to reinforce club spirit. Simply put, Prism X is a platform for students who think ahead of their time, who feel itchy in their seats, who want to create, silly or serious, helpful or challenging, something worthwhile.
