Yonsei has an illustrious tradition of pioneering the development of Korean Studies, upon which UIC takes a leading role in the development of an English language curriculum for teaching about Korea. UIC's Korean Studies Minor is designed to provide a balanced understanding of the Korean society, offering courses on all aspects of Korean Studies including but not limited to history, culture, literature, film, politics, economics, business, international relations, and globalization. As a Korean Studies minor, students will take six courses with a primary focus on Korea, one of which may be a Korean Studies course conducted in Korean.
